I will dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to publicize the upcoming bout.
Former twice unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly happening.
